How it Works
The CoolSculpting procedure safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. Treated fat cells freeze, and then die. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and removes these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted you.
Fat Reduction vs. Weight Loss
During the teenage years, the number of fat cells in your body becomes a fixed number. Losing or gaining weight does not increase the number of fat cells; it just changes the size of those cells. With dieting and weight loss, fat cells get smaller, but the number of cells stay the same.

How it Works
Wrinkles result from a combination of many factors. It’s not just about cellular changes that can occur over time, reduction of collagen, or damage caused by free radicals in the sun and the environment. When you frown or concentrate, the muscles between your brows contract, causing your skin to furrow and fold. And when you squint, the muscles around your eyes contract and cause crow’s feet.

Botox Cosmetic targets the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. Your dermatologist will inject these muscles with Botox Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a smoothing of your facial expression lines. It takes about two weeks to see the full effect of your injection and results last for about three months.

What to Expect
Botox injection is a relatively quick process. Your dermatologist will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas for you.

There is no downtime with Botox. You’ll be able to go about your normal routine immediately after you leave our office. You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours, but it will take several days to see complete results for moderate to severe frown lines, with results lasting about three (3) months.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in the human body. It acts as a cushioning and lubrication agent for joints, nerves, hair, skin, and eyes. About half of your body’s hyaluronic acid is found in your skin tissues, where it helps keep your skin plump, soft, and supple. Unfortunately, our bodies’ ability to produce hyaluronic acid declines with age, which can lead to dryness, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Fortunately, hyaluronic acid is now available as an injectable, which can be used to fill wrinkles, lift sagging skin, and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

What to Expect
Your provider will take your medical history and provide a facial analysis. Be prepared to discuss your areas of concern. Together, you and your provider will come up with a plan that gives you the correction you desire.

The actual treatment takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on which area of your face is being treated. Some treatment areas will take longer than others.

Most patients experience very little or no downtime. Most likely, you’ll be able to about your normal routine immediately after you leave our office. You may see results almost immediately, with most results lasting about 10 months – or more, depending on the filler used.

How it Works
The active ingredient in Kybella is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, Kybella destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. What to Expect
Your dermatologist will tailor your treatment to the amount of fat under the chin and your aesthetic goals.

Since everyone’s chin profile is different, the number of treatments varies from patient to patient. Your dermatologist will help determine how many treatment sessions you need based on the amount and distribution of your submental fat and your personal treatment goals. Each Kybella treatment session is given at least 1 month apart, and you should not receive more than 6 treatments.

At each treatment, you will receive multiple small injections under your chin, and the injection process takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The exact number of injections will depend on the amount of fat you have under your chin and your desired profile.
